Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling ( born September 21, 1986 in Orange County, California) is an American violinist, stage performer and composer. It presents choreographed violin performances both live and in music videos.

Private life

Stirling grew up with two sisters in Gilbert (Arizona ). She studied therapeutic relaxation at Brigham Young University in Provo. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints, which belongs to the group of the Mormon denomination, she completed a voluntary missionary service in New York. Since December 2012 she has been living in Arizona.

Musical Career

At the age of six, she got her first violin lessons. However, the urge of learning this instrument went from Stirling from themselves, their parents had her initially denied this request due to the costs incurred. At age 16, she was part of the rock band Stomp On Melvin, who beside her also belonged to her four best friends and with whom she made ​​the first experiments in the direction of rock and roll. Also at the age of 16 years, Stirling began composing her own songs, which she describes as "violin rock songs".

In 2007 she opened her YouTube channel lindseystomp on which she has published many of her music videos. Since then (as of March 28, 2013 ) reached the channel over 584 million video views. 2010 Stirling quarter -finalist was in the fifth season of America's Got Talent, where she became known as hip-hop violinist.

Stirling has participated in numerous national competitions and is known for her musical versatility, to hip hop ranges from Country, known.
