Lindstedt is a town and a district of the Hanseatic City Guard Insert in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt.

Geography

Lindstedt is located between the cities of Gardelegen and Bismark and is located on the north by the Lindstedt - Trüstedter Plateau. The community of Lindstedt include not only the districts Lindstedterhorst and want to Hagen.

History

On 1 January 2011 the then independent municipality was amalgamated with the districts Lindstedterhorst and willing Hagen, together with 17 other municipalities in the Hanseatic city Gardelegen. The municipality had prior to the incorporation 563 inhabitants ( 31 December 2009) and an area of 19.8 km ².

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was awarded on August 29, 1939 by the Chief President of the Province of Saxony.
