The L-9 belongs to the large profile of the Metro network and the length of the stations is 115 meters. At six stations can be switched to other metro lines, at a station for local train Cercanías.

The 18 km section between Puerta de Arganda Arganda del Rey and is in contrast to the rest of the line above ground, follows the route of a former goods train line and only has three intermediate stations.
