Lingen transmitter

The transmitter Lingen Lingen district Damaschkestraße is a facility of the North German Radio for broadcasting of radio programs in the medium wave and FM range, as well as to broadcast television programs. He used as an antenna support built in 1962, 227 meters high, grounded steel tube mast on which a cage aerial for medium wave transmitter is attached.

Renewal of the peak in 2013

On 16 May 2013, the peak and the second element of the transmission tower has been replaced. The exchange was conducted with the help of a Russian helicopter load, type Kamov KA 32 A12, a specialized company with headquarters in Switzerland. Reason for the replacement, the cylinder located in over 200 meters in height, was well-advanced by weathering material fatigue after 30 years of operation. The new elements consist of GfK.
