Linguaglossa
Linguaglossa is a city in the Italian province of Catania in Sicily with 5397 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Linguaglossa is located 49 km north of Catania on the northeast slope of Mount Etna. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture and forestry.
The neighboring municipalities are Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia, Piedimonte and Sant'Alfio.
History
The town was partly built on the lava flow on the northeast slope of Mount Etna from 1566.

Many buildings in Linguaglossa are built in Baroque style.
