Linnanmäki

Linnanmaki ( swedish Borg jaws) is an amusement park in Helsinki. The park, whose name means as much as Castle Hill, is colloquially known as Lintsi and is located on a hill in the pretty close located at the city center district Alppiharju. Opened on May 27, 1950 Park is operated by the Children's Fund loads Päivän säätiö, a charity organization, which was formed in 1956 initially six founding organizations.

Linnanmaki is open from April to September. There is no entrance fee for the rides, it is necessary to purchase single tickets or acting as a day ticket bracelets.

In August 2006, the park welcomed its 50th millionth visitors per year enter well over one million people to the park.

Attractions

In Linnanmaki there are about 40 rides of different sizes. Best known is the 1951 -built wooden rollercoaster Vuoristorata. Other attractions include the free-fall tower Raketti, the Ferris wheel Rinkeli, the Top Spin Kieputin and opened in 2007 roller coaster Kirnu.

Affiliated to the park, the Sea Life aquarium and the Peacock Teatteri are shown in the musicals.
