Lino Capolicchio

Lino Capolicchio (actually Capolicchio Angelo, born August 21, 1943 in Meran ) is an Italian actor.

Life

Capolicchio studied acting at the Accademia dell'Arte Drammatica and was soon after its beginnings in the mid -1960s in several fields of activity active: On stage, he made his debut under Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano and celebrated his first major success next to Tino Buazzelli and Raf Vallone in view from the Bridge; on the screen, he starred in a version of the Count of Monte Cristo 1966 and on the big screen in Franco Zeffirelli's version of Shakespeare's The Taming Widerspentigen from the following year.

After that he played in a number of films, clearly reflect the contents and forms of the attitudes of the time. With Vittorio de Sica's The Garden of the Finzi Contini he renewed his reputation with critics and the public as a promising young actor. His next movie works could not justify this reputation first; then Capolicchio turned the mid-1970s to the genre film, also by began a long association with Pupi Avati with the success of the gloomy thriller La casa dalle finestre che ridono. Since the 1980s, the film roles became less frequent; he worked increasingly for television, mainly for the theater.

Twice led Capolicchio at its book itself directed; these works, however, did not leave any big tracks.

Capolicchio in 1971 with a special David di Donatello and 2009 awarded the Theatre Prize Alabardo d' oro.
