Linqing

Linqing (临清 市) is a county-level city in east China's Shandong Province. It has about 720,000 inhabitants ( end of 2003), an area of 950 km ² and is part of the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Liaocheng. Linqing lies at the confluence of the Wei He with the Grand Canal.

Linqing plays an important role in China's history, so here was, among other things, the brick factory, which produced the bricks for the Forbidden City. The historic significance, the city wall still relatively well-preserved evidence.
