Lionel Abelanski

Lionel Abelanski ( born October 22, 1964 in Paris, France) is a French actor.

Biography

Lionel Abelanski studied acting at the Cours Florent and then played theater. His screen debut was 1989 in a small role in Coline Serreaus romantic comedy milk and chocolate on the side of Daniel Auteuil and Firmine Richard. Larger international notoriety gained Abelanski through his portrayal of Schlomo in Radu Mihaileanu tragicomedy train of life. The film about a Jewish community, which simulates a deportation has been internationally praised by critics and won several film awards. Abelanski was nominated among others at the presentation of the French César Film Awards in 1999 as Best Young Actor.
