Liping County

Liping (黎平 县; pinyin: Liping Xiàn ) is a district of the Autonomous Prefecture of Miao and Dong Qiandongnan in the southeastern Chinese province of Guizhou. It has an area of 4439 km ² and has 490,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Defeng (德 凤 镇).

The " wind and rain bridges " in the village Diping ( Diping Fengyu qiao地 坪 风雨桥) and the site of Liping Conference ( Liping huiyi Huizhi黎平 会议 会址) in December 1934 are available since 2001 and 2006 respectively on the list of monuments of people's Republic of China.
