Lippisch P.13a

The Lippisch P.13a was a draft of a new interceptor in delta construction from the end of World War II.

The design came from Alexander Lippisch, who is also the delta wing for his preferred constructions next to the tailless design. Provided were new drive concepts with pulverized coal or coal products. For experimental purposes, a prototype with the help of students from Darmstadt and Munich was made. This experiment therefore glider was designated DM 1 ( Darmstadt- Munich 1) and had no drive.

Even before the completion of the experimental glider of American forces has been found on the airfield Prien am Chiemsee and brought into the United States. Under the auspices of the American airplane company Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation were of Lippisch the basic design characteristics and in its post-war constructions such further use, for example, the Convair XF -92.
