Liquid bandage

A spray-on is a modern pavement replacement, which is not a bandage on the wound.

Instead, a polymer solution is sprayed, which forms a protective layer on the wound after evaporation of the solvent. The layer dissolves after a few days by itself or can be removed under running water. The protective film is transparent, breathable and protects the wound from water, dirt and germs.

However, it should be used especially for skin abrasions, but not in burns, deep or infected wounds around the eyes or mouth, or on mucous membranes. Sprühpflaster often contain ethyl acetate or water as solvent. As polymer found, inter alia, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, nitrocellulose or poly (methylacrylate - isobutene - monoisopropyl ) use ( as a random copolymer).

To distinguish it from the spray- spray dressing with which on the basis of cyanoacrylate adhesives takes place a true wound closure.
