Liquido

Liquido was a German rock band from Heidelberg and the surrounding area. Worldwide, the band gained fame with the song Narcotic, from which they could sell in Europe alone, 700,000 copies of the CD single release.

History

Liquido was founded in 1996 by four friends who know each other in their own words from elementary school or out of the sandbox together and went to school in Germany. In the same year, the single was released on the Narcotic own label Seven Music. The idea for the song had Schrödl Wolfgang, who developed the melody on an old Roland D70 synthesizer. The first and only major success came in 1998, when Virgin Records signed her Liquido Narcotic and reissued. From the single, according to the tape over 700,000 units were sold.

The debut album Liquido was published in ten countries. This was followed by sold-out tours, awards and nominations, multi-platinum and chart success in Europe, Asia, South America and Australia. Produced two more albums and several singles, with which, however, was no longer able to build on the success of Narcotic until 2003. 2003 then working with the record company Virgin was terminated by mutual consent.

2004 Liquido then got a new management and a new booking agency and signed a contract with the label Nuclear Blast, which is actually dedicated to Metal. As a result, in 2005 the singles Ordinary Life and Love Me Love Me and the fourth album float have been published, but again could not be repeated the success of Narcotic.

The fifth album Zoomcraft the band appeared on March 14, 2008. Advance the single Gameboy was released on February 22. The Singles Gameboy and On a Mission were only sold online, the album was available in the store.

End of January 2009 it was announced on the official website with the separation of the end of the band.

Music style

Liquido usually played a mix of rock and pop music, some with elements of indie rock. Used on their last album Zoomcraft Liquido more electric elements.

Side projects

Tim Eiermann and Wolfgang Maier and 2000 were active in the German band Pyogenesis on their albums " Unpop " and "Mono " Wolfgang Schrödl can be heard as a guest musician.

Individual band members also have solo projects called LSD Underground ( Maier ), The Prophet 's Project ( Schrödl ), and Every Man Music | Anyone ( Schrödl )
