Liriope muscari is a species of the genus Liriope in the family of asparagus plants ( Asparagaceae ).

Features

Liriope muscari is an evergreen, perennial herbaceous plant, plant height from 45 to 100 (from 12 rare) achieved centimeters. It forms rhizome clumps and no runners. The leaves are 8 to 20 (rarely 2-35 ) mm wide and nine-to elfnervig (rarely from five annoying ).

The racemose inflorescence is 8-45 (rarely from 2) inches long and consists of numerous flowers. The four to eight ( rarely three ) flowers are in a high leaf axil. The tepals are purple purple and measure 3.5 to 4 × 1.5 to 1.8 millimeters.

The flowering period extends from July to August.

Occurrence

Liriope muscari comes in southern and central China before in forests, bamboo groves and canyons.
