Lisa Ekdahl
Lisa Ekdahl ( born July 29, 1971 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish jazz - pop singer and songwriter.
Life
Lisa Ekdahl grew up in Marie Fred as the daughter of a nuclear physicist and a primary school teacher with two sisters. During her school years she attended the music branch of a high school in Södertälje. At 18, she moved to Stockholm, where she sang in 1990 in Peter Nordahl Trio jazz and later collaborated on an album by Toni Holgersson. Then they got their own record deal and released her debut album Lisa Ekdahl 1994, the vet (on German: Who knows ) the hit Vem contained. The album, for which she was awarded three Swedish Grammis and a skirt Björn, sold very well. She is a friend of the singer and songwriter Lars Winnerbäck, with whom she wrote some songs together. She sings with him some of his pieces and has performed with him.
She has a son (* 1994) with musician Bill Öhrström. Since 1999 she has been romantically involved with Salvadore Poe. She lives in the Södermalm district of Stockholm.
Style
With its combination of Swedish song tradition and Latin jazz she has created her own personal style in the Swedish popular music.
