Lisbon Marathon

The Lisbon Marathon (Portuguese: Maratona de Lisboa ) is a marathon, which will be held in Lisbon since 1986. The date falls since 2001, always on the first Sunday in December, previously, the races also held in October or November. The event includes a marathon relay, half marathon, a so-called family run about six kilometers and a children's run for 10 - to 16 -year-old over a kilometer.

Since 1990, the Portuguese Championships will be held in the marathon as part of the Lisbon Marathon every year.
