The river Li Shui or the Li River and Lishui River (Chinese澧水, Pinyin lǐ Shuǐ; . Engl Lishui River / Li River ) is a river in the northwest of Hunan province. It is one of the main tributaries of Lake Dongting ( Dongting Hu), which in turn flows into the Yangtze River.
Its main source is located in the north of the district Sangzhi of Zhangjiajie. It flows through the regions of Cili, Shimen, Li, Jinshi and Anxiang.
Its total length is 388 km, its catchment area of 18,500 square kilometers.
