List of FIS Nordic World Ski Championships medalists in ski jumping

The list of world champion in ski jumping lists all world champions and the second-and third-ranked into individual and team competitions in ski jumping at the Nordic World Ski Championships. The results were taken into account from the first Nordic World Ski Championships 1924 ( equivalent to the first Winter Olympics ) to the 49th Nordic World Ski Championships 2013. From 1924 to 1984 included the competitions at the Olympic Winter Games as well as the World Championships.

Competitions for men

Individual competition

The world champion in ski jumping be determined since 1924 at the Nordic World Ski Championships. Up to the 1984 Winter Olympics, the Olympic champion were both world champions. Consequently, the Olympic Winter Games and 1984 are at the same time as the Nordic World Ski Championships and therefore are in this list. The Nordic World Ski Championships 1941 has no official status, since the results were annulled in 1946 by the FIS.

The World Championships are also held since 1924 by the large hill and since 1962 on the normal hill.

Team competitions

Since 1982, team competitions are held in ski jumping at Nordic World Ski Championships. Previously, an unofficial team competition was held at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1978. As the team competition was not included on the Olympic program of the Olympic Winter Games of 1984, the team competitions were held in the Nordic combined and ski jumping addition at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1984.

The team competitions are mainly held on the large hill. At the World Championships of 2001, 2005 and 2011 team competition were also held on the normal hill.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec for the first time a women's competition was held on the normal hill.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme for the first time a mixed- team competition was held on the normal hill. A team consists of two women and two men.

Single men and women

  • Placement: order of the athletes. This is determined by the number of gold medals. With the same number of individual gold medals then the silver medals and finally the bronze medals obtained are compared.
  • Name: Name of the athlete.
  • Country: The country for which the athlete started. With a change of nationality, the country is named, for the athlete scored the last medal.
  • From: The year in which the athlete has won the first medal.
  • To: The year in which the athlete has won the last medal.
  • Gold: Number of gold medals won.
  • Single Gold: number of won gold medals that have been won in an individual discipline.
  • Silver: number of silver medals won.
  • Bronze: number of bronze medals won.
  • Total: total number of medals won.

The Nordic World Ski Championships 1941 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, which were declared invalid, and the only unofficially discharged team competition of 1978 in Lahti are not included here.

Since the results of the World Championships were canceled in 1941 in Cortina d' Ampezzo and the team event in 1978 in Lahti has only unofficial character, these results are not taken into account.
