List of Governors of Meghalaya

The following table lists the Governors of Meghalaya with respective term of office. With the redesign of the north-eastern India after the Bangladesh war was Meghalaya, despite the partial autonomy until then part of Assam was independently and as well as Tripura and Manipur on January 21, 1972, a federal state. Until 1989, the Governor of Assam was also responsible for Meghalaya, new to 1981 for all three states.
