List of Governors of Tamil Nadu

The following table lists the Governors of Tamil Nadu since India's independence with respective term of office. In 1969, the present Tamil Nadu from the tamil speaking part of the state of Madras was created. The first governor after independence was in continuation to the Office, the last governor of the Madras Presidency.
