List of Governors of Uttar Pradesh

The following table lists the governors of Uttar Pradesh since India's independence with respective term of office. By 1950, the state was still wearing his name "United Provinces " from colonial times. The northern part of the state as a separate state of Uttarakhand was dissolved in 2000 (until 2007 Uttaranchal ).
