The single was released on 21 June 2006 and reached immediately, item 5 in the Oricon weekly singles chart, and with this position, the most successful single release of the franchise. By July 2008, more than 136,000 copies were sold and the publication was 100 weeks in the charts, the seiyū single that stayed there the longest. Overall, the single remained 133 weeks there.
The first two pieces God knows ... and Lost my music played in Episode 12 Live Alive by the fictitious school band ENOZ, which was a tribute to the school band ZONE and sung by the seiyū Aya Hirano under their role names Haruhi Suzumiya. According to the listing of the single were played guitar, bass and drums of the musicians Susumu Nishikawa (西川 进), Takeshi Taneda (种子 田 健) and Yutaka Odawara (小田原 豊).
The title God knows ... was covered by Haruko Momoi on her album BEST COVER Cover Densha ( COVER BESTカバー 電車) 2007. Koi no Mikuru Densetsu episode was played as the opening credits of the first ( airing order ) or 11 ( chronological order) and sung by Yuko Gotō under their role names Mikuru Asahina.
