Bob Bishop ( Robert James Bishop) is an American software developer.

He wrote in 1977 the first four computer games for the Apple II home computer:

  • ROCKET PILOT,
  • STAR WARS,
  • SAUCER INVASION and
  • SPACE MAZE

Some amazing for its time demo programs, such as APPLE -VISION ( a figure dancing to a tune ) come from him, and he took the tape recorder interface of the Apple II to output language ( APPLE TALKER ) and even to recognize speech ( APPLE - lISTENER ), was not sure what this meant.

Became known DUNG BEETLES his game, later published as TUMBLE BUGS.
