Mutella is a text- based file sharing program for peer-to -peer network Gnutella for Unix, developed by Max Zaitsev and Gregory block. It has two interfaces - one for text mode and one for the so-called "Remote Control", which runs on an embedded web server and is used by a web browser. The first official version was released on October 6, 2001.

The Mutella logo was changed from version 0.4.1 to a squid, in front of a blue and black version of the Ouroboros was used.
