Since the 2003's Mirrodin block of the overall scene is transported to another world, so it creates a new background. But even in these blocks is still resorted to elements from the previous blocks. So Karn, the creator of Mirrodin Mirrodin block in was already created by Urza himself in the Urza block and played a role in many subsequent editions. In the older editions that did not appear on German, usually no such comprehensive history is hidden behind the cards. There, only a small background story to the cards was conceived.
