List of number-one hits (Italy)

This is a list of number-one hits in Italy since 1959. Listed are all the albums and songs that have led the charts in Italy. As a basis serve from the 50s different magazine publications. Since 1995, the official charts in order Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana ( FIMI ) are determined and published weekly. Currently the album charts are a top 100 list. By the end of 2007, there were the top 50 singles sales, which served as the basis of the number -one hit - lists. Since 2008, the digital download charts are the official charts for individual stocks.

The listing is divided by year:

• From 1947 to 1958 there is no weekly charts, but only total overviews of the best-selling singles in each year
• Since 1959 weekly single charts since 1970, album charts available
