This list of number-one hits in Germany in 1971. It was in this year, eight number-one singles and six number-one albums. This year, there were no German leader.

On January 4, 1971 a change took place with regard to the period of chart releases. The charts are now a week and not only published about every two weeks for the first and 15th of the month. From the period of the first to the third of January there is no official chart output.
