In five Summer Olympics badminton tournaments are held:
- Single - Tournament Women (since 1992)
- Double Tournament Women (since 1992)
- Single men's tournament (since 1992)
- Doubles tournament for men ( since 1992)
- Mixed Tournament (since 1996)
1972 Munich badminton was played as a demonstration sport without a doubles tournament for women. In Seoul 1988 Badminton was demonstration sport. In the table, placed these years are shown in italics.
In the tournaments in the 1992 Summer Olympics, two bronze medals were awarded in the discharge in 1972 as a demonstration event, there were also two third-place finisher.
