List of phobias
The list of phobias include phobias, which can be distinguished from other anxiety disorders because of their particular trigger. Unless otherwise mentioned, there are specific phobias (also: isolated phobias; ICD -10 F40.2 ). From the research side, the relevance or usefulness of many separate descriptions for the specific phobias is doubted as a diagnostic terms. For example, anxiety can be summarized from animals - not least in order to work with sufficiently large numbers of cases can. However, it will also argue that for therapists accurate discrimination is essential.
This list is limited to those considered in the literature anxiety disorders and those that are recognized as a medical diagnosis or self- interference. In addition, names for phobias are listed that have found a sufficiently widespread in popular science sources, or in the popular literature.
