List of premiers of Nunavut
This list outlines the Prime Minister (English premier ) of the Canadian territory of Nunavut since its inception on 1 April 1999.
In Nunavut the model of a consensus democracy has been introduced. The territory has a unicameral parliament whose members are representatives of their communities and not political parties. Of the deputies, the territorial government is determined with the Prime Minister and other ministers in seven secret ballot from among its members.
Prior to 1999, Nunavut was part of the Northwest Territories.
