This list provides an overview of the regions and counties of Slovakia during the Hungarian rule over this land. Most of these names are still used today.

  • Komárom county ( county seat Komárom / Komárno, southern part in today's Hungary)
  • Gran county ( county seat Gran / Esztergom / Ostrihom, southern part in today's Hungary)
  • County Gemer and small Hont ( county seat: Rimaszombat / Rimavská Sobota, the most southerly part in today's Hungary)
  • Tornau County ( county seat Tornau / Turňa, southern part in today's Hungary)
  • Ung county ( county seat Ungvár / Užhorod, nowadays most of the Ukraine belonging ).

Another region, whose name was only coined in recent times and was not a county, is the Hauerland.
