Lithuanian Capital of Culture

The cultural capital of Lithuania (Lithuanian Lietuvos kultūros sostinė ) since 2008 is a cultural initiative in Lithuania, following the example of European Capital of Culture. Each year, the Capital of Culture of Lithuania by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture is awarded to a city. The project promotes cultural activities and art in Lithuanian regions.
