Bridge over the Littfe in Kreuztal Oaks

The Littfe is extending its entire length in the City Kreuztal tributary of the remote village and named for the district Littfeld. It rises southwest of the Wolf Horns in the area of the district castle Holdinghausen, flows through Littfeld, Krombach and oaks and empties into Kreuztal after 12.739 kilometers in Ferndorfbach.

In the course of the creek there are a total of 33 dams and a hydroelectric plant, which, however, are not currently in operation.

The Littfe received according to the guidelines for implementing the European Water Framework Directive in NRW the name DE_NRW_272146_0 and was classified as a natural body of water. In order to allow fish migration in the river, several fish ladders were produced. In addition, the city has made ​​some efforts to renaturation.
