Little Brothers of the Gospel

The Little Brothers of the Gospel are a Catholic religious order within the clergy family of Charles de Foucauld.

Just as the Little Brothers of Jesus, the Little Brothers of the Gospel in their spirituality relate to Charles de Foucauld and how these were founded by René Voillaume 1956.

The Little Brothers of the Gospel live in small communities of 3 or 4 brothers and are by their work and their way of life to the poor and marginalized people close. They are also active in preaching and pastoral counseling. The communities receive no church taxes and must finance itself. So it is the rule that monks regular secular work to pursue. The living and prayer rooms of their communities are in normal residential areas, often in so-called " problem areas ", and are usually normal rental housing.

The community is now about 86 members in Africa, Asia, Europe and America. In Germany they are established in Leipzig. Its members wear a habit and no certain similar costume, so they are not immediately recognizable as monks.
