Little, Brown and Company

Little, Brown and Company is an American publishing house. Its beginnings date back to 1784, when a bookstore was opened in Boston. The publishing house itself was founded in 1837 by Charles Coffin Little and James Brown, and received its present name in 1869. The publishing house was acquired by Time Inc. in 1968 and is operated as an imprint of the Hachette Book Group since 2006.
