Lituania Tilsit

The SC Lituania Tilsit was a German sports club in the East Prussian town of Tilsit, today Sowetsk.

Club history

The club, founded in 1907 was 1911 Association of Masters of the Baltic Lawn Sports Association ( BRV ) and was therefore able to participate in the final round of the German soccer championship. Due to high travel costs, however, Lituania Tilsit gave up the right to start, so that the opposing team from the Berlin TUFC Viktoria 89 peacefully marched into the semi-finals.

1912 and 1913 the club reached nor the Baltic finals, but lost in two years, the respective final opponents. After Lituania had played in the 20s with no greater success in the district of East Prussia, was the 1929 merger with the Association for body exercises to Tilsit Tilsit SC.
