In March 1968, Cream gave several concerts at Winterland and The Fillmore in San Francisco. Four shots of it have already been released on the live disc of the double album Wheels of Fire. Live Cream contains four additional recordings from these concerts and the piece a year earlier recorded in the studio Lawdy Mama. Up to this song all the pieces from the first album of the band, Fresh Cream come. With Rollin 'and Tumblin ', Muddy Waters, also a gecoverter Blue classic is included.

Reception

Rob Bowman and Bruce Eder of Allmusic keep the recordings of NSU and Sleepy Time Time for the definite ones and the album features all the highest quality both in terms of clarity and fidelity of the recording as well as on the performance of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton.
