Liver sinusoid

A Lebersinusoid ( Vena intralobularis ) is transported an extended capillary ( sinusoid ), the oxygen-rich blood from the hepatic artery ( hepatic artery ) and the nutrient-rich blood from the portal vein ( portal vein ). The sinusoids have Kupffer cells which foreign bodies can absorb and destroy (eg, bacteria).
