Living Planet Index

The Living Planet Index (LPI ) is an indicator of the state of global biodiversity. It is based on trends of the global population of vertebrate species. WWF is working with the Institute of Zoology ( IOZ ), the research department of the Zoological Society of London ( ZSL ) to develop the project, begun in 1997 continued.
