The Olonetzische ( Aunus, Livvi ) is spoken by an unknown number of people in the Republic of Karelia in northwest Russia north of Lake Ladoga. The Olonetzische belongs together with the Lüdischen to the main dialects of Karelian.

Differences to the actual Karelian consist mainly in pronunciation (more voiced consonants as in the actual Karelian ) and the stronger Russian influence in Olonetzischen.
