The Liwiec at Strakhov

The Liwiec is a 142 km long left tributary of the Bug in Poland. The Liwiec has two sources - a southern ( main source ) near the village Sobicze and a northern village in Zawady. The height of the main source is 161 m, the mouth height is 84 m above sea level. The average flow rate in Lochow is 10.5 m³ / s

The Liwiec flow through these places: Chodów, Mokobody ( powiat Siedlecki ), Liw, Wegrów, Starawieś, Zawiszyn and Urle. It opens at Kamieńczyk (4 km away from the city Wyszków ) in the bow.

On the banks of Liwiec is built in the Gothic style from 1421 Castle Liw.
