Lixisols

Lixisole are soils with an accumulation of clay minerals low exchange capacity and high base saturation.

Lixisole have different soil horizons: below an A horizon a Auswaschungshorizont (E horizon), under which lies a clay-rich material by shifting Bt horizon above the parent material ( C horizon ). They are formed under strong tropical weathering, and it comes for the rearrangement of silicates ( desilication ).
