The Lizumer Reckner is 2886 m above sea level. A. the highest mountain in the Tux Alps, Tyrol.
Location
The Lizumer Reckner located in the center of the Tux Alps, about 20 kilometers southeast of Innsbruck within the training area Lizum Walchen. To its west lies the Navis, in the southeast the Schmirntal, in the east the Wattener Lizum. The valley is close to the southeast. Neighboring mountain to the south is the vulture. To the north, a ridge towards Lizumer sun peak, the Tarntaler heads and in the further course continues to Mölser mountain. In the West, the Lizumer Reckner the 2824 m high Naviser precedes Reckner.
Geology
The Reckner located on the edge of the Tauern Window, a region in the eastern Alps, the Penninic ceiling and possibly Helvetic ceilings are open-minded. The summit of the stretching agent consists of serpentinite, which is embedded especially in radiolarite. Furthermore, can be found in the geologically diverse environment Dolomitbrekzien, calcareous shale and other rocks of the Jura.
Below the summit structure of the stretching agent to find boulders, which are interpreted as remains of former rock glaciers. Here are also the remains of dead ice to be found.
Bases and routes
From Navistal from the mountain, among other things, the Naviser hut (1767 m) or the Peeralm is to reach ( 1663 m). In Schmirntal the hamlet superiors serves as a starting point. From Tux from the Reckner on the 1984 m high Junsbergalm or Hintertux of can be achieved. The most important base in the Wattener Lizum Lizumer hut (2019 m).
From these starting points of the southern foot of the peak structure can be achieved through several marked trails. In particular, the increase of the Lizum out is possible in the winter as a ski tour. The last climb to the summit is quite minimalist with Tritt-/Griffhilfen and requires climbing in the II- th degree.
Due to the location within the training area, the ascent of the mountain may be temporarily prohibited.
