Ljósá [ ljɔu sɔ ː ] ( Danish name: Lysa, literally " light -Au " ) is a place of the Faroe Islands in the north- east of the island Eysturoy. Ljósá located south of Eiði on the west coast of the island at Sundini. The village was founded in 1840, when the population number of the Faroe Islands rise and more agricultural land had to be developed.
