Ljubica Jelušič

Ljubica Jelusic ( born June 16, 1960 in Koper) is a Slovenian politician ( Socialni democratic ). She was from 2008 to 2012 Minister of Defence of Slovenia.

Ljubica Jelusic spent her entire school to the Matura in Sežana. She then studied at the Faculty of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism from the University of Ljubljana, where she took off in 1985 her thesis on the topic Unarmed forms of resistance against aggression. In 1992, she completed her dissertation on the legitimacy of the military and was active from 1993 to 1994 at the Belgian Royal Military Academy, where she did research in the laboratory of Philippe Manigart in the area of ​​military sociology.

Since 2005 she has been at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana full professor in the field of national defense.

On 21 November 2008 she was Minister of Defence in the government of Borut Pahor, and remained until the end of the reign in January 2012 at the office. Since 2012 it belongs MPs in the national parliament.
