Ljubiša Stanković

Ljubisa Stankovic ( born June 1, 1960) is a Montenegrin engineering scientists and politicians.

Life

Stanković studied from 1978 to 1982 electrical engineering at the University Titograd (now the University of Montenegro) and from 1982 to 1984 at the University of Belgrade. In 1988 he obtained his doctorate in electrical engineering at the University of Montenegro. The title of his thesis was modified least squares residual method (using the FFT algorithms ) with applications to the diffraction problems and waveguides of complex cross section. Since 1995 he has worked as a Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Montenegro. From 2003 to 2008 he was the rector of the university.

Stanković was 1990-1993 Chairman of the Socialist Party of Montenegro. 1990-1992 he was a deputy in the Parliament of the Yugoslav Republic of Montenegro from 1992 to 1996 at the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
