Ljubo Miličević

Ljubo Milicevic ( born February 13, 1981 in Melbourne) is an Australian football player, the son of Croatian parents, who currently plays for the Newcastle United Jets in the A-League.

Milicevic started his professional career with the Melbourne Knights in Australia, where he played a game before he moved in 1999 to Perth Glory, where he played an important role, as he brought the Western Australian team in their first NSL Finals 2000. He then played in Switzerland for FC Zurich and FC Basel.

He was the captain of both the Australian U -20 and U -23, the Olyroos. After he was appointed as captain, he came in 2001 to the U- 20 World Cup after Argentina and attracted the attention of observers of large societies, but a knee injury took over the tournament henceforth, which meant the end of this chance. He was injured before the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and gave the media apparently a greeting with the middle finger after he scored a goal in a qualifying match. From 2004 to 2006 he played for FC Thun in the Super League. For the FC Thun He played 40 championship matches and in the season 2005/2006 a total of 5 games in the Champions League and six games in the qualifying stage for the Champions League and the UEFA Cup.

On 17 July 2006 he was again committed by a Swiss team: BSC Young Boys, a rival of FC Thun, but there again dismissed on 19 February 2007.
