The Río Lluta is a river in northern Chile ( Región de Arica y Parinacota ).

The Río Lluta rises in the Nevados de Putre Mountains, a part of the central Andes and flows a few kilometers past the town of Putre. It winds through the middle of the Atacama Desert. The valley of the Río Lluta is very popular with tourists, it hosts a large number of species of birds and llamas.
