L&M

L & M is a brand of cigarettes Philip Morris GmbH, which is also distributed in Germany. The name comes from the tobacco company founded in 1873 Ligget & Myers Tobacco Company, the predecessor of today's Liggett Group Inc., was originally produced in the L & M. Today the name rights are owned by Philip Morris. The term " Light & Mild" 2003 was prohibited by EC Directive 2001/37/EC, as " these expressions could be interpreted by consumers as an indication of a reduced health risk ."

The L & M- box has two different covers, on which in some varieties the inscription L & M was printed once vertically and once horizontally. At the opening of some boxes a coat of arms with two confronting lions can be seen which are supported on the blue "L & M " logo. The package is depending on the variety blue ( Blue Label ) or red ( Red Label ). Classically it is, however, in red and white, as in the filter Red Label or the normal full-flavor. The design of the two products, " L & M Night " in the Soft Pack and "L & M Soft Label " which is only available in soft pack, be very similar. However, it is their own product lines with its own characteristics.
