Lobo (musician)

Lobo ( born July 31, 1943 in Tallahassee, Florida as Roland Kent LaVoie ) is an American musician. His biggest success was the 1973 ballad I'd Love You to Want Me

Career

End of the 60 Americans Roland Kent Lavoie played in various bands, but without success. Finally, he started under the stage name Lobo ( Spanish for wolf) a solo career. His first big hit was the title Me And You and a Dog Named Boo, who was about two hippies and their dog Boo.

He scored his greatest success with the song, published in 1972 I'd Love You to Want Me This song was several times in the sequence Weird incidents in the house to hear from Professor S. ZDF television series The Commissioner Erik Ode; the episode was aired on September 21, 1973. During the show called numerous spectators in the ZDF studio to inquire about the artist of the song.

The song reached in Germany, Austria and Switzerland No. 1 on the pop charts and held that position for several weeks.
